Far-right presidential candidate Rick Perry  dined with self-appointed  "godfather  of politics" Donald Trump last night. What did they do afterwards? Partied with pageant queens, Kardashians, and Kathie Lee Gifford at the Sheri Hill fashion show in the Trump Tower. Update: Page Six  reports that Perry "made a beeline backstage" to hang out with the models, including Kathie Lee's daughter Cassidy.

We're also told that techno music reality star rich guy fameball Sir Ivan played psychedelic fuckfest single "Live For Today (Make Love Not War)" while Perry was in the house. H.I.H. Grand Duchess Arianna of Italy marched around with enough diamonds to finance multiple presidential campaigns, while grand dame model Carmen Dell'Orefice swanned around in her usual state of unbearable fabulousness.

Wall Street Journal - Irene No Match for Crown Prince NY CULTURE By MIKE VILENSKY

Sir Ivan Wilzig hosted India's Crown Prince Manvendra Singh Gohil at his Water Mill mansion this weekend, an event apparently so awesome that not even a tropical storm could dampen its spirit.

"My party was fantastic, just as I predicted," Mr. Wilzig said on Monday. "It's not every day I'm entertaining a gay prince from India." Food at the party included lamb meatballs, curry puffs and caviar. "Cows are holy in India," Mr. Wilzig said. "So I was told he'll eat any kind of meat except beef."

At the party, Mr. Wilzig—a quirky recording artist-slash-philanthropist—introduced "a rough cut" of his new music video. "The 100 guests who showed up at my castle enjoyed the video for 'Hare Krishna' on an extremely large screen," Mr. Wilzig said. "Just not the super-gigantic outdoor one that I had booked. The outdoor movie theater was canceled because the company that provides the equipment said the screen couldn't sustain more than 25 mile-per-hour winds, and they wouldn't put employees in danger."

Hurricane Irene proved to be an annoyance but not quite a royal pain for Prince Manvendra Singh Gohil.

While threat of the 700-mile-wide storm prompted most Hamptons event organizers to cancel their weekend parties, recording artist Ivan Wilzig refused to throw in the turban on his fete for India's first openly gay prince.

The party went on as scheduled at Wilzig's castle-like home in Water Mill on Saturday night — although not quite as planned.

For starters, a luxury bus that Wilzig had reserved to ferry 45 guests from the city to the party was canceled by the operator over weather concerns. The photographer and the deejay hired for the event also bailed, although Wilzig's girlfriend Mina Otsuka gamely took over the second chore.

Out of 200 people who'd RSVP'd to welcome the royal to the Hamptons, only 70 ended up making it. Among the missing were comic and Oscars telecast writer Bruce Vilanch and "South Park" and "Book of Mormon" creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, who would have found a wealth of material at the party.

Ivan the Terrible

Saturday, August 27

Reader, sometimes we must simply quote the invitations we get—in this case, to a party that Sir Ivan is hosting in honor of Crown Prince Manvendra Singh Gohil of India. “Sir Ivan is hosting the event at his Hamptons castle on Saturday, August 27th from 8-11pm and will also be presenting the world-premiere of the new video for his recent Billboard Magazine Top Ten hit single ‘Hare Krishna,’ being shown on a huge outdoor screen.” Here’s a few pieces of context: “Hare Krishna” peaked at number 10 on Billboard’s “Dance/Club Play Songs” chart in April.  Sir Ivan’s other musical output includes club remixes of John Lennon’s “Imagine.” He is a Penn graduate and studied law at Yeshiva. The 45-year-old Prince Manvendra Singh Gohil is the first openly gay Indian royal in modern history. Sir Ivan dates Japanese glamour girl Mina Otsuka, who appeared at a previous “Hamptons castle” party this summer in gold breastplate and cape to Sir Ivan’s ermine-trimmed robe and coat of arms. Sir Ivan, whose surname is Wilzig, has hosted medieval-themed parties at his imposing Water Mill “castle”; he is a philanthropist and son of a Holocaust survivor. Mr. Wilzig, who appeared on the reality TV series Who Wants to Be a Superhero? as “Mr. Mitzvah,” is sponsoring a “luxury coach” to transport Manhattanites who wish to attend his party. Mr. Wilzig claims the party is being filmed for Oprah Winfrey’s OWN network. Including external links, Mr. Wilzig’s Wikipedia entry contains 940 words, nearly twice the length of the entry for Water Mill, N.Y. Meet us there?
